Why am I an actor?
When I was little, I was always waiting for Sunday to come became it was the day when I would go to the cinema. I found what went on the screen much more interesting than what happened in real life. It seemed more exciting and entertaining to me. And so I thought when I’m older, I’d like it to be me up on the screen. I want to be like Gary Cooper in “High Noon”, like John Wayne surrounded by animals in Africa or Vittorio Gassman charming the ladies along Italian beaches. I want to be able to thrill the audience like all the greats do, and they’d do it with me by their side. Later on, when I was able to experience being on stage, the direct communication that the audience gives you and the emotions they make you feel, it made me certain that acting was the most fascinating profession out there.
